Nan’ao Island Attracts Investors

Nan’ao Island, an island off the coast of Shantou, is attracting more and more investment.
An investigation commission, led by the vice-chairman of the Subcommittee for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Compatriots and Overseas Chinese, Hu Yingxiang, paid a visit to Shantou on Mar. 19. Hu said he want to promote the development experiment of wind recyclable energy in Nan’ao. Recently, Shenzhen Yingtaisen Investment Co. Ltd sets has put in 350 million to start a project constructing tourist support facilities, developing real estate, and building a business center. An agreement was signed with the local government on Mar. 13.
Nan’ao is located between the coastlines of Fujian Province, Guangdong and Taiwan, covering an area of approximately 130 square kilometres. Since last year, investments in large-scale projects have continued to reach the island.
